Russell County 4-H News - February 2024
Camp Corner - 4-H Camp will be June 18-21, 2024. Russell Co. will be camping with LaRue, Marion, and McCreary Counties. Camp applications will be taken in mid-March. The camp fee will be $210 (due to contributions from the Russell Co. Extension District Board) as long as funds last. Then the camp fee will be $310.
4-H Horse Club
Upcoming Meeting Dates: February 1, February 15, February 29 Time: 4:30-5:30 p.m.

4-H Speech and Demonstrations Contest: A 4-H Demonstration is where you show someone how to do a task. Demonstrations should be between 5-15 minutes. There are several categories for the demonstrations contest. Official guidelines are on the Russell Co. 4-H webpage. Registration deadline is Thursday, March 8, 2024.
4-H Country Hams: Ten 4-Hers have country hams on cure at the Adair County Extension Office. For more information about participating in the program next year, please call the Russell County Extension Office.
4-H Shooting Sports: New Member Sign Ups - March 21, 2024, 5:00 p.m., at the Russell County Sportsman's Club (turn by Arby's on Hwy. 619, travel 1.25 miles; turn right on Bubby Flanagan Road) Membership fee: $30.00 Bring health insurance info for paperwork.
